There was a sleepv snort. Ben-Arba finally stirred and awoke from his restless sleep.

"Ehhh . . he muttered, looking around. "So that terrible night is over."

Dr. Cooper surveyed the surrounding hills. They were silent and empty now, just as before. It was as if the horrors of the night had never happened.

"Well, guys, how long before breakfast?" he said finallv.

"Oh, I can get it started any time," said Jeff.

"Okay, give us another hour or so. In the meantime, Talmai, let's vou and I take a hike."
